BIOGRAPHY
Ahad, also known as wiresandtrees, is a British Pakistani artist, illustrator, writer and architectural designer based in the UK. With a background in architecture (RIBA Part II), Ahad combines his approach to design, storytelling and world-building to create artwork across a range of genres including sci-fi, high fantasy and horror.
Through Design by Ahad, he creates original illustrations, graphic design, architectural visuals and narrative-driven artwork inspired by mythology, folklore and the reinterpretation of stories. His practice also includes writing short stories to accompany many of his works, creating deeper worlds and narratives around his illustrations.
Ahad’s recent work spans commissions across film, music, publishing and tabletop gaming, including collaborations with TTRPG companies, character and world artwork, book covers, album artwork and promotional illustrations. His work explores the connection between visual storytelling and the imagined worlds that inspire it.
